Brook Lopez Is Actually Your Little Sister

See that man pictured above? Thats Brook Lopez. He was just named the PAC-10 player of the week. And rightfully so, after averaging 23 points, 6.5 boards and 4 blocks per game last week. Sounds like a dominant player, right? And he has helped lead Stanford to an 8 ranking and a 16-1 record at home. Impressive? Well, it is.

So who would have thought that Mr. Lopez is awkwardly close to his feminine side? Like, really close. Lets just take a look at his appearance in SI.com's Pop Culture Grid. His favorite show on HBO is...... Sex and the City?! Really? Now, maybe he just doesn't have time to watch TV. Maybe he spends his only free time with his girlfriend, who in turn makes him watch Sex and the City. Let's see what else he answered.

Fictional Character most like you is.....Baloo from The Jungle Book. Alright, I guess I might have wanted to pick something a little more cool, like Pascal Leclaire who picked Van Wilder in the same poll, but Baloo is alright by me. Maybe the Sex and the City thing was a fluke answer. I bet the rest of these all make sense....WHAT? Singer you'd like to be a roadie for, he answered Michael Jackson?! I don't even want to know what sort of things Michael Jackson's roadies have to do. Nor did I think I would ever meet someone not from Europe or Japan who would actively volunteer to do such a thing.

Now, it is possible that Mr. Lopez was trying to be humorous in his responses. Or it could be that he likes to unwind after laying down the law against USC by sipping some white Zinfandel, throw on Jacko's HIStory, and watch Carrie try and finally make Mr. Big an honest man.

And while we here at Bikes in Trees are accepting of all lifestyles, let's just slip on our Imus cowboy hats and compare Brook to the first person in the poll, Rutgers woman's basketball player Matee Ajavon. Her favorite HBO show is The Wire. You taking notes Lopez? While you are spending evenings watching Kim Cattrell scar the minds of high definition television owners everywhere, Matee is on the edge of her seat, watching McNulty clean the streets of Baltimore, Jameson in hand.
